Job Description

The Underwriting Service Manager supports the achievement of goals related to underwriting results, customer service and agent relations, and supports the Vice President, VFIS Program Manager.  Oversees the rating functions, policy issuance, workflow procedures, quality management, training and professional development of all team members.   

Qualifications

Minimum five (5) years of commercial lines underwriting, operations, or related experience in either a company or an agency.  Secondary education with insurance designations desired.  Strong knowledge of commercial insurance rating, underwriting principles and general insurance operations is required.  Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate and influence a wide variety of personalities.  Prior supervisory/team leader experience is a plus.
