Job Description

This position requires a sound knowledge of insurance concepts relevant to the underwriting of commercial auto driven for profit risks. The daily responsibilities of Underwriter requires a highly organized individual who is self -motivated and has an attention to detail. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to lead a team and develop and maintain relationships while achieving goals in a performance driven environment.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a commercial lines Property & Casualty Underwriter. Must have a proven and consistent level of high performance as an underwriter with the ability to underwrite large casualty driven accounts, including knowledge of large account pricing and rating methodologies. Bachelors’ degree in insurance, business or related field preferred. Must hold a designation of AU, passed a minimum of 5 parts of CPCU, or attained the CPCU designation or comparable insurance-related courses. Must have and maintain a current property & casualty license for PA. LOCATION: YORK
