About the Position
Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our growing team The Glatfelter Agency (TGA) in our downtown York office. This person will provide commercial lines service required by The Glatfelter Agency clients, Account Executives and insurance companies. This support is provided to permit the Account Executive to concentrate on new business development and outside client service. Prompt, accurate and courteous service is carried out in accordance with TGA service principles. Additionally, all customer data must be properly filed in document and management systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Retail insurance agency experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers including but not limited to underwriters, customers, marketing representative and service team members.
- Must be capable of working independently under team concept with general supervision. Seeks answers from any appropriate source when necessary to respond to client requests.
- Should possess the ability to plan, be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Must possess strong customer service skills.
- Should have the ability to adapt to changing and improving technologies, and able to function within various on-line company rating sites.
- Must have working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Minimum of two (2) years office experience required.
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job required.
- Licensed Pennsylvania Property/Casualty Agent or able to obtain License within 4 months of start date.
- CISR Designation preferred. This should be obtained within 3 years of start date or alternative certificate may be pursued, such as CRM, CIC, CPCU.
