Job Description

Glatfelter Claims Management is seeking a full-time, experienced subrogation adjuster to join our team.  This position’s core responsibilities include the efficient and effective investigation, evaluation, handling, and processing of subrogation recovery claims on a nationwide basis across all commercial insurance lines, while delivering superior customer service to our policyholders and other stakeholders.  Assigned duties may include directly negotiating settlements with tortfeasors or their insurance carriers, filing and responding to intercompany arbitrations, managing restitution agreements, and monitoring recovery vendor activity to optimize financial results.

Qualifications

Required skills include:  strong verbal and written communication abilities, solid organization, effective time management, efficient data entry, and sound decision-making skills.   Secondary school education is required.  A college degree, prior property/casualty claims or subrogation experience, and/or Fire/EMS/Public Entity experience are preferred. The successful candidate must have or obtain the required claim adjusters’ licenses in various states in an aggressive period of time.
