About the Position

Glatfelter Insurance Group, is seeking Sales Support Coordinator role to join our team.  This role provides direct support to VFIS and GSB Management and Sales teams through the coordination of communication and meetings with Regional Directors and brokers. Prepares a series of production reports as needed for both internal and external customers. Assists internal sales teams and distribution partners with Producer Center access, market analysis and general client support.

Prompt, accurate and courteous service is carried out in accordance with VFIS service principles. 

 What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with working knowledge CRM Dynamics, MS Power BI, OnBase and Oracle reporting.
  • Must be customer service and sales oriented and able to communicate effectively with customers, brokers, and insurance company personnel by telephone, email and in person.
  • Must be willing to travel in order to attend state or national emergency service shows and Regional Director meetings. Travel may include attendance at weekend conventions on an intermittent basis.
  • Must exhibit sound judgment and analytical ability to make decisions within the scope of authority.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
  • Able to work under a minimal amount of supervision and identify and solve problems, independently, as they arise.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Able to adapt to changes in process and procedure, and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with proficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information while demonstrating courtesy, tact and discretion.

 Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Become well versed in VFIS policy documents including those of VFIS competition.
  • Maintain customer files within CRM, a diary system, and travel arrangements according to GIG procedures.
  • Coordinate reports and draft the VFIS and GSB President’s metrics memo for their monthly meetings.
  • Prepare CRM and Excel reporting for the VFIS and GSB management teams for submissions, pipeline prospects, monthly sales reporting, and lost business for all lines of business.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to complete advertising and other sales or ETC-related projects.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Marketing to help ensure adequate levels of updated marketing material.
  • Coordinate quarterly & year-end contingency payments to Regional Directors and MVP brokers.
  • Coordinate information requests from brokers to underwriters or sales. Prepare reports, expenses, and schedule meetings as requested.
  • Coordinate the RD’s Underwriting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and their sales production to the Regional Directors each month.
  • Assist brokers with navigation through the Producer Center and completion of the on-line RQ.
  • Provide detailed assistance to brokers regarding program coverage and competitive coverage distinctions with competition.
  • Assist in the development of renewal action plans on Large Accounts (>$250K) accounts with Sales Executives.
  • Elevate potential problems or concerns to the appropriate Sales Executive and/or Regional Vice Presidents/Directors, or President.
  • Organize and schedule broker or internal meetings/conference calls as needed with Sales Executives and other GIG Associates. 
  • Complete special projects as requested by the VFIS President, GSB President, Regional Vice Presidents/Sales Directors and Vice President of ETC.
  • Participate in training and continuing education to enhance skill and knowledge levels of insurance. 
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of Property/Casualty customer service experience with at least two (2) years’ experience in commercial lines preferred.

 Education

High School Graduate, with college degree preferred.

Must have valid PA Property & Casualty license or attain within one (1) year of employment. Life and Health License may be required as needed.

Successful completion of INS 21, 22 and 23 or comparable insurance courses preferred.
