About the Position
Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking a Facilities & Grounds Supervisor. This role will be responsible for and supervises the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all buildings, grounds, equipment, landscaping and interior decor. Responsible for ensuring maintenance and grounds remain in a condition of operation and appearance suitable to the high standards of the corporation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to plan, implement, and administer programs to maintain the facilities equipment and grounds, including snow removal.
- Collaborate with management to oversee major repairs, renovations and new construction.
- Ensures availability of self or direct reports to address facility issues as they arise
- Meets with appropriate managers to layout, design and erect work stations
- Responsible for building security system, fire alarm system, responder procedure, and surveillance camera system.
- Maintain computerized work order system including preventative maintenance program. Modify as necessary.
- Maintains appropriate records of construction repairs, blueprints and other related documents.
- Helps prepare and plan for short- and long-range facility needs.
- Responsible for the hiring, direction, assignment, training, development, performance, and evaluation of direct reports.
What We’re Looking For
- College degree or specialized training in facilities management with well-developed knowledge in an engineering-related profession.
- Three (3) years experience in supervising facilities operations staff.
- Operational and functional knowledge of large scale electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Possess a working knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Must be in good physical condition and with good dexterity.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
