About the Position

Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Applications team.  This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, developing (in some cases) and testing solutions to business problems and automation opportunities. Seeks information from users and technologists, develops it to a strategic level, defines the opportunities, develops business analyses, and designs/develops solutions to solve the situation. This position is located in York, PA.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of work experience with information systems. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in an insurance environment with proven knowledge of MGA's, brokerage, retail and carrier operations desired. 
  • Confirmed involvement in developing and implementing product changes within an insurance policy rating & issuance system’s toolset is preferred.  
  • Working knowledge of systems analysis techniques and demonstrated ability to conduct business analyses including cost benefit analyses required. 
  • Proven knowledge of relational databases and demonstrated ability to construct complex queries for use in analysis required. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills essential. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading out projects a plus
  • Working knowledge of relational databases with the ability to independently create queries
